Second Resident Tests Positive for COVID-19 at Susque-View Home

LOCK HAVEN, PA – The Susque-View Home on Friday reported a second resident has tested positive for COVID-19, along with some additional staff members; all the cases over the last several weeks. Home administrator Jamie Aurand also announced that staff members will now be tested twice per week.

SUSQUE-VIEW HOME COVID-19 UPDATE

Lock Haven, Pennsylvania:

Susque-View Home has continued to test all staff and residents weekly. Unfortunately during the round of tests conducted the week of November 24, the first resident tested positive and another resident was identified as positive during the testing this week. In addition to the two residents, there has been more staff test positive recently, bringing the total to eight staff who’ve tested positive over the last several weeks. Some of those staff members who were positive earlier have gone through their quarantine period and are back to work.

Susque-View’s Administrator, Jamie Aurand said, “We continue to follow CDC and Department of Health guidelines for infection control, including screening all employees at the beginning and end of their work shift, proper use of personal protective equipment, and frequent hand sanitation. Because our case count continues to rise and Clinton County’s positivity rate had increased significantly we are planning to begin testing all staff members twice per week. We will continue to test all residents weekly.”
