COVID-19 Can’t Stop Renovo’s Christmas Parade

RENOVO, PA – The recent spike in COVID-19 put a dent in Renovo’s annual Christmas Parade, but could not stop it.

The Flaming Foliage Festival Committee hosted their annual parade on Sunday and while Santa was there in fine shape as always, children were unable to sit on his lap. There was a special mailbox for letters to Santa and he promised to read them when back at the North Pole. He also said so far no one at the North Pole has come down with COVID and all his elves are following the recommended health guidelines, including mask-wearing and social distancing.

Youngsters received Santa hats donated by Margaret Bullen and Bill Winkleman and Mrs. Claus (Santa’s wife of long standing) provided treats. The annual Christmas Tree lighting followed at the Flaming Foliage lot.
