LHU Unveils COVID-19 Testing Dashboard
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. — Lock Haven University now has an operational dashboard to chart results from fall semester COVID-19 testing. The dashboard can be seen at http://www.lockhaven.edu/Covid19Dashboard/ and will be updated daily at 9 a.m.
The first posting occurred on Monday, the start of classes for the fall semester. It says 600 tests have been administered and so far no positive results have been detected, with 266 negative results thus far, resulting in a positivity rate of zero percent. The dashboard information noted that results from those tested will be available within 48 hours.
LHU had announced earlier this month testing details, including a process for testing symptomatic students at the campus health center which is operated by UPMC. Additionally, the university announced that LHU will be making available more broad-based asymptomatic testing, to be conducted by PCMA, a professional medical practice, for students living on or off campus, students who may be coming to campus for limited face-to-face instruction, and for all employees.
LHU students and employees have access to the testing at the start of the semester. The testing will be voluntary and at no cost to the individual, the school said. Tests will be done at the start of the semester and then periodically as the semester progresses through random sampling of the population.
