Programs for the Week of June 29th, 2020 at Hyner Run State Park

(North Bend) –  Hyner Run State Park is offering a “Stream Study” on Friday, July 3, 2020 at 3:30 PM.  Join the park naturalist and dive into an underwater community to find some different aquatic insects that call this creek home.   All children must be accompanied by an adult in order to participate.  Also, all participants will need to follow the CDC Guidelines and have a mask with them in order to attend this program.  This program will be registration only (limited to 24 people), and may be cancelled in the event of severe weather. Please make sure to register in a group if more than one person is coming.  Registrations will be taken for each of these programs by calling 570-753-6005, or by going to DCNR’s calendar of events.  Meet near bridge between pool and shower house.

On Friday, July 3, 2020, at 8:00 PM, there will be a “CCC at Hyner Run State Park” program.  This program will focus on the history of the Great Depression, life during the Civilian Conservation Corps times, and some of the work that happened in the area.  All children must be accompanied by an adult in order to participate.  Also, all participants will need to follow the CDC Guidelines and have a mask with them in order to attend this program.  This program will be registration only (limited to 24 people), and may be cancelled in the event of severe weather.
