Dominion Energy Touched by Community’s Kindness to Essential Gas Workers
TAMARACK – Dominion Energy, which has a longstanding history of supporting western Clinton County, was recently on the receiving end for its service to the community. Under the direction of Martha Sykes, some Renovo area residents and friends and family of Dominion employees, all with a talent for sewing, turned out 165 masks for Dominion’s workforce.
Dominion called their effort “an act of generosity.” Aaron Hughes, Manager for Dominion Energy Transmission said, “We understand just how much our community depends on us to deliver gas and keep them safe. That’s why we were so surprised and moved when our neighbors turned around and gave us a gift of 165 hand-sewn masks to help keep our 75 employees working in the area safe during the coronavirus. We are very fortunate to be a part of this community and are grateful for this unexpected act of kindness.”
Others who participated in the sewing effort included Margaret Riggle, Cathy Morton and Nora Jesberger.
