State Rep. Stephanie Borowicz Announces Re-Election Bid

McELHATTAN – State Rep. Stephanie Borowicz announced on Tuesday she is running for re-election in the 76th Legislative District of the Pennsylvania State House of Representatives.

The 76th Legislative District includes all of Clinton County and the Centre County communities of Benner, Boggs, Burnside, Curtin, Haines, Howard, Liberty, Marion, Miles, Snow Shoe and Union townships and the boroughs of Howard, Milesburg, Snow Shoe and Unionville.

“It is my honor and privilege to be your State Representative. I consider myself a Patriot and not a politician,” said Rep. Borowicz in her candidacy release. “I work for you, “We the People” knowing that freedom hangs in the balance. My priorities are priorities of freedom: freedom to raise a family without government intrusion; freedom to work your farms and businesses without burdensome regulations; freedom from the weight of government debt; freedom for those who have no voice and freedom to keep your hard-working money in your own pockets.”

Rep. Borowicz continued, “I have gone to Harrisburg with these principles in my mind, and I have created legislation or co-sponsored legislation with these convictions. I have introduced the Heart-Beat Bill, the strongest pro-life legislation in Pennsylvania’s history. I passed pro-firearms legislation, and I also introduced legislation to get rid of the cost of living allowance for legislators. I co-sponsored legislation to reduce the corporate net income tax rate, and I voted out of committee the Tax-Payer Protection Act which reins in frivolous government spending. I also co-sponsored a lobbyist gift band and a term-limits bill.”

The first-ever woman to serve and represent the people of the 76th Legislative District, Rep. Borowicz worked with people in the community to secure funding for the Snowshoe Water Authority to help with the on-going water issues of this area and she joined with legislators to help local businesses and farmers to stand up to government regulatory agencies.

As a mother, former fourth-grade teacher, and pastor’s wife, Rep. Borowicz is also focused on providing real property tax reform, improving the education system to fully empower tomorrow’s workforce and fighting crime and the opioid epidemic to improve public safety.
Rep. Borowicz concluded by saying, “The work is just beginning in the 76th District and I am thankful that I can join with you to see all that we can accomplish for the place that we call home. I am asking for your continued support and I would be honored to earn your vote.”
