City Boat Dock Installation Underway

LOCK HAVEN – City of Lock Haven crews Tuesday began the installation of the city’s new boat dock on the south side of the Susquehanna River.

Installation had been delayed earlier because of high water but the work should be completed well before Downtown Lock Haven Inc.’s Hometown Heroes ceremony at the adjacent Corman Amphitheater scheduled for this Saturday.

The dock will be located between the Corman Amphitheater and Veterans Bridge. It is designed to provide boaters with a connection to Lock Haven, and can be removed during winter or high water events.

Funding includes local contributions and a $14,250 grant awarded last year through the Department of Community and Economic Development’s Keystone Communities program.
