Clinton 8-10 All-Stars Keep Rolling with 23-2 Win over Minersville

LOCK HAVEN – The Clinton Softball 8-10 All-Stars opened up the Little League Section 3 play with a commanding 23-2 win over District 24 champ, Minersville. Minersville has a storied and tough softball tradition, tonight, the young Lady Miners would come up short with only 1 hit to their credit.

Clinton pounded out 12 hits and used 10 walks to get the job done. Leading the hit parade once again was Camdyn Weaver who went 4-5 at the plate to pace her team. Right behind was sibling Reagan Weaver with a triple and a double and Elise McKean had a double and a single in the game. Lilly Germello had a double for Clinton with Aubrey Eiler, Cheyenne Weaver and Emily Motter all had base hits.

Clinton had a 10-0 lead when they went to bat in the top of the fourth inning, then added another dozen runs to their tally sending 15 batters to the plate.

Reagan Weaver worked the circle for Clinton for the first 3 innings giving up just 2 walks while striking out 7 Minersville batters sitting down the first 6 batters she faced.

Aubrey Eiler came in for the final 3 outs of the game yielding 1 hit, 3 walks wile striking out 2 batters.

Clinton will be back in action tomorrow, July 11, at 5:30 p.m. at the Clinton Field and will face Mifflinburg, the District 13 champion.

The Clinton Field is located at 32 Myrtle St, Lock Haven.
