Jaycees Host Easter Dinner for Seniors
LOCK HAVEN – The Lock Haven Area Jaycees held its Annual Easter dinner Palm Sunday at the Jaycee Hall, 352 E. Water St., Lock Haven.
A total of approximately 250 meals were served to the community’s seniors at two seatings and with over 100 take-outs. The free meal consisted of ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, green beans, a roll, dessert and refreshments.
The Jaycees hold two annual free dinners for seniors: one on Palm Sunday, and a Holiday Dinner between Thanksgiving and Christmas. The Jaycees is a member of the International, United States and Pennsylvania Junior Chamber of Commerce. It is open to young adults between 18 and 41 years of age to promote young adults in leadership abilities and service to humanity. The local chapter has been readying for the 49th Annual Labor Day Regatta Friday through Monday of Labor Day weekend. Phone 570-748-6388 for more information. Meetings are held every second and fourth Wednesdays of the month. The longtime local service organization said, “Help us help humanity.” All profits are distributed in Clinton County.
