Two KCSD Schools Found with Mold; All Schools Shut Down TFN
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – All schools within the Keystone Central School District are closed until further notice. That bombshell came Tuesday evening through a statement from district superintendent Dr. Al Lonoconus.
It followed a hot, rainy summer and district-wide school tests conducted last week. Dr. Lonoconus’ statement:

An Important Message from Superintendent, Dr. Alan Lonoconus:
Last week, Keystone Central School District performed routine air quality testing for mold throughout our schools across the district.
While most of the schools came back with passing results, unfortunately two of our schools (Central Mountain Middle School and Woodward Elementary) came back with failing outcomes.
Bucktail High School, Central Mountain High School, Dickey, Liberty Curtin, Mill Hall, Renovo, and Robb Elementary schools passed the air quality testing.
Due to the results, all schools across the district will be closed until further notice.
Students, faculty, staff, and administration should not report until further notice.
Transportation for non-KCSD students will continue to operate normally.
Information regarding athletic practices and events is forthcoming.
We are working with professionals to rectify and remediate the situation in a timely manner and will keep the community updated as information becomes available.
The safety of our students and staff remain our top priority.
Thank you for your understanding,
Dr. Alan Lonoconus
The Keystone Central School Board is scheduled for its next meeting Thursday, Sept. 6 at Central Mountain High School.
