Three Lady Wildcats Receive 2018 All-State Softball Honors
LOCK HAVEN – Three Central Mountain softball players have been honored by Pa Prep Live as Class 5A All-State players for the 2018 spring sports season.
Junior Morgan Wetzel received first team all-state honors as an outfielder for the Lady ‘Cats. Wetzel had a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in the 2018 season at center field for CM. Wetzel also contributed significantly on offense as well batting .525 and has 7 homers to her credit.
Senior, Skylar Smith received second team all-state recognition at shortstop, a position she anchored for the past four seasons for the Lady ‘Cats with a .891 career fielding percentage. Smith also batted .380 in four seasons for CM.
Junior, Madison Knepp was selected as second team all-state as a first baseman. Knepp has .909 fielding percentage in three seasons of work for Central Mountain. Knepp also spent considerable time in the circle as a pitcher for the Lady Wildcats and carries a .329 batting average over that same span.
