CM Tennis Roughs up Bulldogs 4-1
JERSEY SHORE – The Wildcat tennis team took a ride down river to face Jersey Shore and brought back a 4-1 win over the Bulldogs.
Central Mountain swept the singles action with Matt Schubach defeating ‘Shore’s Alex Trunzo, 6-2, 6-1 at No.1, then Raahi Chapla used a tie-breaker to take down John Duda, 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 at No. 2 singles. Morgan Talbot also went to the third set to pick up a 4-6, 6-4, 7-5 over Jersey Shore’s Mike Walker at No. 3 singles.
At No. 1 doubles, Central Mountain’s Micah Brinker and Gavyn Walker CM got past ‘Shore’s Dylan Leitch and Niall Lanks 6-4, 6-3. Luke Maneval and Lincoln Lilly picked up the Bulldog’s only win of the day by defeating CM’s Kaden Powers and Ujjval Adroja, 8-4.
The win takes Central Mountain to 7-9 on the season.
The Wildcats will play their last match of the 2018 season when they host Mifflinburg on Thursday, May, 10.
