Olllie’s Headed to Old Kmart Site

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, a brand name discount merchandiser, will be opening its newest store in the former Kmart location along Hogan Boulevard sometime this fall.

Word of the new tenant was conveyed through social media this week and Mike Flanagan, chief executive officer for the Clinton County Economic Partnership, confirmed the announcement. He said the Ollie’s operation will use about 35,000 square feet in the area of the old Kmart main entrance.

The recent addition of Harbor Freight on the east end of the old Kmart site utilizes 15,000 square feet. The addition of Ollie’s will leave about 40,000 square feet available, including about 100 feet of frontal area, according to Flanagan. Employment numbers for the new business were not immediately available.

Ollie’s started in 1982 in Mechanicsburg and its website says it operates 271 stores across the East Coast. The company website uses the phrases “Good Stuff Cheap” and “Real Brands at Real Bargain Prices.” Zamagias Properties of Pittsburgh owns the Millbrook Plaza complex.
