Williamsport Rolls over Wildcats, 5-0

WILLIAMSPORT – It was another tough outing for the Wildcat tennis team against the rival Millionaires. Williamsport swept Central Mountain 5-0. The loss takes The ‘Cats to 2-4 overall and 1-3 in the PHAC.

Willimasport’s Kevin Zheng defeated CM’s Matt Schubach, 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 singles with Millionaire, Ty Jackson besting Wildcat, Raahi Chapla, 6-1, 7-5 at No. 2 singles. Then at No. 3 singles, it was Williamsport’s Tiarnan Ferry taking down Central Mountain’s Morgan Talbot, 6-1, 6-2.

At No. 1 doubles, it was the Millionaire duo of Liam Ferry and Amani Tran defeating CM’s Gavyn Walker and Micah Brinker, 7-5, 7-5. Ben Haussmann and Michael LeBlanc picked up the final win of the sweep by defeating Central Mountain’s Kaden Powers and Ujjval Adroja, 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2 doubles.

Central Mountain will host Selinsgrove Tuesday, April 10, 2018.
