Seals Outpace Wildcats

SELINSGROVE – The Wildcats battled chilly rain and the Seals on the road in track and field on Tuesday but Selinsgrove prevailed 103-47 over the girls’ team and 102-48 over the boys’ squad.

Picking up top honors for the Lady Wildcats were: Alyssa Laughner picking up 3 first place times in the 1600M run, 5:36; 800M run, 2:31 and the 3200M run, 12:43. Sadie McCaleb placed first in the javelin with a throw of 110′ 6″. Amelia McCloy cleared the bar in the high jump at 5′ 2″ for first place. The Lady ‘Cat 400M relay team of Riley Philips, Ashley Kline, Macy Akeley and Hunter Barger also placed first in 55.1.

For the Wildcat boys, Kenny Jones picked up three first place wins, 11.73 in the 100M dash; 24.5 in the 200M dash and kept 20′ 4 3/4″ in the long jump. Corbin Green placed first in the 1600M run, 4:49 and the 800M run in 2:10. Caleb Porter picked up first place in the high jump at 5’ 7″. The Wildcat400 relay team of Kenny Jones, R.J. Shafer, Seth Andrus and Austin Confer placed first in 48.1 seconds. The 1600 relay team of Austin Confer, Joey Moore, Corbin Green and Emre Yakut placed first with a time of, 3:46.7.

The CM track teams will next see action on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 when they travel to Hollidaysburg.
