Water Boil Advisory Lifted for LH East End

lh-sealWater customers at the following addresses: 401 – 600 East Main Street, 323 – 435 East Church Street, and 117 – 225 Henderson Street were notified on Friday, February 12, 2016 of a potential problem with their drinking water and were advised to boil their water before using it because of a water main break.

The City is pleased to report that the problem has been corrected and that it is no longer necessary for residents in the affected areas to boil their water before use. The water main has been repaired and conditions restored to normal in the affected areas. DEP regulations require that the water in the affected area be sampled twice over the course of two separate days. Those results were returned to the City on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 showing that the water was free of contamination.

Again, the problem has been corrected and it is no longer necessary for residents in the affected areas to boil their water before use. For more information please visit the city’s website at www.lockhavenpa.gov or contact the Water Department at (570) 893-5900 or water@lockhavenpa.gov
