Many Close Calls in County Municipal Election, Unofficial Results In

LOCK HAVEN – With a strong 43.63% voter turnout for the 2025 municipal election, Clinton Countians went to the polls to express their sacred right to vote Tuesday throughout the county.

Out of 22,455 registered voters, 9,797 total votes were cast from Loganton to West Keating Township and everywhere in between.

At the top of the list Tuesday night was the contested race for county treasurer.

Michelle “Mick” Kunes appears to be re-elected by a margin of 1,958 votes (5,799 to 3,841) against Leslie Clukey with only 16 write-in votes to be tabulated.

County Coroner Zach Hanna ran unopposed, received 8,096 of the votes with 141 write-ins yet to be recorded.

Though voters statewide voted to retain Supreme Court Justices Dougherty, Donohue, and Wecht, Clinton Countians voted against each of the five retention questions on the reverse side of the ballot.

Lock Haven City Council looks to welcoming newcomer Micah Clausen to the table in January. Clausen gained 665 votes, joining Barb Masorti and Rick Conklin who appear to achieved re-election in unofficial results. Independent newcomer Tristan Avenbaum clinched 438 votes. There were 48 write-in votes.

Renovo Borough looks to be welcoming a new Mayor in 2026.

Justin Lynn in unofficial results appears to have won against long-time sitting mayor Gene Bruno, 159 to 103. There were 11 write in votes cast for Mayor.

In Keystone Central School District news, Mary Kramer appears to have defeated Megan Houser for the KCSD Renovo-area Region IX seat on the school board. Kramer won by 15 votes, 549-534 with one write in. Butch Knauff did not seek re-election.

Continuing on with KCSD, the school board will also see newcomer Shelby Bohartz representing the Woodward Township, Colebrook Township, and Lock Haven 1st Ward areas.

John E. Miller will replace outgoing school board member Roger Elling in Region VII representing the fourth and fifth wards of Lock Haven in 2026. Elling opted to not run a re-election campaign.

Bald Eagle Township Supervisor Steve Tasselli retains his seat in the township, claiming a 305-266 victory over Tim Owens.

In a very close race in Woodward Township, John Barth, II looks to have defeated Eric Jacobs by two votes (404 to 402).  There were no write in votes cast.

Lastly, West Keating Township saw the county’s highest voter turnout at 70.37% with 19 of its 27 residents making it out to the polls. Supervisor Troy Kepple received nine votes, while there were nine write-in votes for the 4-year supervisor term.
