Obituary – Donald Edward Cole, Jr.
Donald Edward Cole, Jr., 54, of Lock Haven, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at UPMC Williamsport Hospital.
Born December 9, 1970 in Elmira, NY, he was the son of the late Donald E. Cole, Sr. and Sandra Wilcox Cole-Northrup, who survives in Milan.
Don was a 1989 graduate of Troy High School and obtained his degree from Lock Haven University in 1994, where he was a member of Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity.
On October 8, 1994 in Woolrich, Don married the former Catharine Rock, who survives.
He was employed at First Quality for 25 years before going to work at West Pharmaceutical as a production manager in July of 2021.
Don loved spending his leisure time outdoors. He enjoyed animals, especially his dogs, hiking on local trails, star gazing, bird watching and snowmobiling in the winter with his friend, Rob. His greatest joy was found in his time spent with his family, especially cooking for them and their many trips to the Outer Banks.
In addition to his mother and wife, Don is survived by a son, Jameson (Allie Gardner) Cole of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Avery Cole of Lock Haven; two sisters, Ellen (Dawn Adams) Cole of Kentucky and Karen Cole of E. Smithfield; two nieces, Kristy Clark of Kentucky and Andi (Tre) Dunn of Georgia; a great-niece, Eden Dunn of Georgia; and his mother-in-law, Janet Rock of Lock Haven.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Peter Rock.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 2 P.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745 with Pastor Grant Helsel officiating.
Friends and family will be received on Wednesday from Noon until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to TransYOUniting of Pittsburgh.
