NCAA announces qualifier allocations for NCAA DI Men’s Wrestling Championships
NDIANAPOLIS (Thursday, Feb. 27) – The NCAA announced qualifier allocations for the 2025 NCAA Championships, along with updated Coaches’ Panel Rankings and RPI. The Bald Eagles landed six wrestlers in the third Coaches’ Poll and eight in the second RPI.
The Mid-American Conference (MAC) was awarded 23 total NCAA championship qualifying spots stretched across the 10 weight classes.
Anthony Noto, a two-time All-American at 125 pounds, was the highest ranked Bald Eagle and was listed at No. 14 at 133 pounds in the NCAA Coaches’ rankings. In his first season at 133 pounds, Noto enters the postseason with a 17-6 record.
Wyatt Henson, a MAC Champion at 144 pounds in 2024, came in at No. 17. Henson is an impressive 22-4 this season with a team-high 10 tech falls.
Avery Bassett is ranked No. 30 at 174 pounds and is currently 21-7 with six major decisions.
Colin Fegley is listed at No. 24 after a breakout season that featured 18 wins and six major decisions.
Tucker Hogan (197 pounds) and Gavin Hoffman (285 pounds) round out the group of Bald Eagles in the Coaches’ Poll and are ranked 29th and 17th, respectively.
Hogan is 20-4 on the season with seven tech falls, while Hoffman is 15-2 with four pins after joining the team this winter.
All six wrestlers were also listed in the RPI poll today, along with Lucas Kapusta (149 pounds) and Nick Stampoulos (157 pounds).
The 2024-25 Mid-American Conference Championship event is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, March 7-8 and will be hosted by Rider at the CURE Insurance Arena in Trenton, New Jersey.
