MILL HALL – Not to be outdone by the boys and their King of The Mountain tournament, the Lady Wildcats hosted their annual Queen of The Mountain Tournament on Sunday afternoon at the Central Mountain gym. Although not having the same amount of years to build their tournament, all the girls teams still put on a show for those attending and will continue to build the sport as it grows quickly.
The Lady Wildcats shared a sixth place finish with the Lady Eagles of Bald Eagle Area in the seven team tournament, as the Lady Spartans of Hughesville claimed the championship title by defeating the Lady Millionaires of Williamsport by a solid 54-18 count. The Lady Braves of Shikellamy took third place with a 32-27 win over Pocono Mountain West. The ladies from Wellsboro rounded out the field in seventh place.

Not having a complete roster like the Lady Millionaires, the Lady Wildcats were forced to forfeit six weights in the dual meet.
In round two the Lady Wildcats again faced a team that was able to fill all by one weight and the girls from Pocono Mountain West posted a 54-18 win over the host team. Austynn Falls (130), Kendall Wagner (190) and Ashlyn Miller (235) all recorded falls to account for the Lady Wildcats’ 18 points. Again the Lady Wildcats were forced to forfeit six weights, which led to the lopsided final score.
