Lady Phoenix Earn Dual Win on Criteria

MIFFLINTOWN- The Lady Phoenix of the Sugar Valley Rural Charter School tied the Lady Indians of Juniata at 18-18, but they came away with a 19-18 victory, as they won the dual meet on criteria of most bouts won by forfeit. The win even the Lady Phoenix dual meet record to 1-1 on the young season. 

There were just four bouts contested, as the Lady Phoenix Evangeline Andrus (130) won by a fall and was the only one to win a contested bout. Olivia Clester (170) and Kohana Yamashita (112) both won their bouts by forfeits. The Lady Indians won 3 of the 4 contested bouts, but had no forfeit wins. 

The Lady Phoenix will be back in action on Wednesday evening when they will host Sullivan County and then will be off until Tuesday, January 7th, when they will host Danville.
