Lady Wildcat Wrestlers Go 3-3 at Duals

BOILING SPRINGS- The Central Mountain Lady Wildcats made their 2024-25 season debut at the Boiling Springs Classic Duals Tournament on Saturday and came away with a 3-3 record for the day. 

They opened their pool play with a 30-24 win over Central York, but then fell to the host Boiling Springs 66-12 and Northern York 41-24. The 1-2 record put Lady Wildcats into the Bronze Pool, for which they went 2-1. They defeated Central York again by a 36-18 score, they dropped a close 33-30 match to Pennsbury and concluded the day with a 24-17 win over State College. 

The Lady Wildcats were led by 2024 state place winner Kendall Wagner (170/190) and Austynn Falls (142/148), who both posted perfect 6-0 records on the day. Wagner recorded six falls on the day while had three falls and was awarded three forfeit wins. 

Ashlyn Miller (235) posted a 4-1 record with three falls and one forfeit victory, while Jacey Tripp (235) added a win by fall. Emma Scarbrough-Perez and Kaitlyn Scarborough-Perez both posted 4-2 records on the day, Emma with three wins by fall, while Kaitlyn recorded one fall on the day. Both girls’ other wins came by the forfeit route, while rookie Mallory Wunder rounded out the squad with a 1-5 record for the day. 

The Lady Wildcats will be back in action on Tuesday night when they will travel to Bald Eagle Area and wrestle the Lady Eagles prior to the boys dual meet. The Lady Wildcats of Head Coach Dylan Caprio will then be off until Sunday December 22 when they will host the Queen Of The Mountain Tournament. They round out the month on December 28 at the Lady Bison Holiday Tournament at Clearfield High School. 

The Queen Of the Mountain tournament will be a nine team field with a local flare, as the teams joining the Lady Wildcats are Bald Eagle Area, Delaware Valley, Hughesville, Philipsburg-Osceola, Pocono Mountain West, Shikellamy, State College and Williamsport.
