Renovo Community Says Goodbye to Dedicated Firefighter and Veteran Burt Wilson

RENOVO – The Renovo area gave a Heroes Farewell to lifetime Renovo Fire Department member Burt Wilson Tuesday afternoon in services that included a last call and flag tribute as the Hurst carrying the beloved volunteer fire fighter left Renovo for the final time on the way to his gravesite.

Burt’s kindness matched his dedication to Station #29 as for many decades Wilson always answered the call when his community needed him the most. The Army Veteran leaves behind four children, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Burt was preceded in death by his wife Mary Jane and their son Robert.

A burial with military services followed the procession.
