LHU Women’s Soccer hosts No. 18 Shepherd on Senior Day
LOCK HAVEN– The Lock Haven women’s soccer hosted Shepherd University in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division match on Senior Day at Hubert Jack Stadium on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 5) and the Rams came away with a 3-0 victory.
The Lock Haven women’s soccer program honored six of its seniors on Saturday night for their contributions and dedication to the program: Sydney Stahl, Lily Litrun, Kylie Auman, Julia Haines, Eva Stoessel and Alyssa Myers.
Lock Haven is now 1-5-3 overall and 1-5-1 in the PSAC East, while Shepherd improves to 6-0-3 overall and 6-0-1 in conference.
The nationally-ranked Rams opened the scoring 1:10 into the contest, before adding a pair of goals in the second half to seal the victory.
Lock Haven’s best chance came in the second half when Evelyn Ciaccia broke through the Rams defense and created space to fire off a shot on goal, but Shepherd’s keeper made the save.
In net, Bald Eagle goalkeeper Megan Miller made a game-high seven saves.
