Central Mountain Girls Tennis Falls to Central Columbia 4-1

BLOOMSBURG-The Central Mountain High School girls JV/Varsity tennis team faced off against Central Columbia on Thursday in an away match. Despite a strong effort, Central Mountain fell by a score of 4-1.

In singles play, Central Mountain’s Addison Lindsay continued her dominant season with a commanding 6-0, 6-0 victory over Central Columbia’s Rihanna Baker at the top spot. However, Central Columbia took control in the remaining singles matches, as Natalia Taylor defeated Ellie Harry in a hard-fought match, 7-5, 1-6, and Macy Gearhart overpowered Archie Walker, 6-0, 6-1.

In doubles competition, Central Columbia’s Cassandra Marte and Kaitlyn Zanoline bested the Central Mountain duo of Molly Dubbs and Emily Brinker, 6-1, 6-4. The second doubles match saw Sydney Barry and Emily LaRouche outlast Audra Eaton and Kassie Williams in a close first set, winning 7-6 (9-7) before closing out the match 6-0 in the second set.
