Harassment w/Physical Contact

WAYNE TOWNSHIP– A domestic violence incident was reported to PSP Lamar on July 14, 2024. The incident took place on Pine Mountain Road, and one involved party, who is not identified in the report, was issued a citation for harassment through District Court 25-3-01.

Theft

GREENE TOWNSHIP– An incident involving theft occurred at Nicholas Meat LLC on July 14, 2024, when unknown actors gained entry on the west side of the packaging site by cutting holes through the barbed wire chain link fence and breaking into refrigeration trailers. As of now, it is believed that multiple males operating a dual-rear-wheel Penske box truck were responsible for the theft. A substantial amount of meat was stolen, with exact figures still to be accounted for. The investigation is ongoing at this time. Harassment w/Physical Contact

FLEMINGTON—PSP Lamar responded to a report of a harassment incident that occurred near James and Herr Street in Flemington on July 14, 2024. Through investigation, it was determined that an argument occurred between a 30-year-old female from Mill Hall and a 53-year-old female from Lock Haven. The argument then turned physical, resulting in one party being charged with summary criminal harassment under PA Crimes Code Title 18 §2709.

Criminal Trespass

PINE CREEK TOWNSHIP– On July 13, 2024, at 2:01 a.m., PSP responded to the report of a trespass at 265 Park Avenue. This investigation is ongoing.

Criminal Mischief under $1,000.00

PORTER TOWNSHIP– On July 13, 2024, at 6:45 p.m., PSP Lamar responded to Nittany Valley Drive for a report of a damaged tire. Through investigation, it was determined that an unknown suspect caused damage by unknown means to a passenger side rear tire of a Peterbilt Motors vehicle.

PFA Violation

MILL HALL– On July 12, 2024, at 11:10 a.m., PSP Lamar was dispatched to Frederick Street for a report of a possible PFA violation. A 50-year-old female victim returned home from work to find her television on, which she found to be abnormal, so she fled the area. Upon arrival at her residence, PSP Lamar Troopers found Gregory Price, 49, from Coburn, PA, in the woman’s residence, which he was completely evicted and excluded from. Charges were filed through District Court 25-3-02.

Retail Theft/Shoplifting

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP– On July 11, 2024, an incident involving retail theft at Walmart in Mill Hall occurred. An 18-year-old male from Stroudsburg, PA, stole six items totaling $31.17. Charges have been prepared and are pending court.

Theft/Crime By Deception

GREENE TOWNSHIP—On July 10, 2024, PSP Lamar responded to E. Winter Road after two victims from Loganton purchased gift cards that turned out to be part of a scam. The victims purchased a $7,000.00 Lowes gift card and a $5,000.00 Kohls gift card. No further information was included in the report.

Theft/Disposition of Funds

FLEMINGTON—On July 10, 2024, PSP Lamar was notified of the theft of $5.00 in electronic currency at 312 Frederick Street in Flemington. No further information was included in the report.

Harassment w/Physical Contact

LOGANTON—PSP Lamar responded to a physical domestic situation in the area of E. Main Street and Water Street on July 10, 2024. As a result of the incident, a harassment citation was filed against one involved party, identified as a 47-year-old male from Lock Haven.

Defiant Criminal Trespass

CASTANEA– On July 9, 2024, at 6:03 p.m., PSP Lamar responded to E. Keller Street for a report of a male trespassing on properties who was disorderly and intoxicated. Upon arrival, PSP Lamar Troopers were advised that Ivan Englert, 23, from Mill Hall, broke into and was currently inside a residence. Troopers took Englert into custody after a brief struggle, according to the report. Through investigation, it was determined that Englert was at two other residences prior to entering a third. Englert was taken to the Clinton County Correctional Facility, and charges of Criminal Trespass, Defiant Trespass, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, Harassment, and Public Drunkenness were filed through District Court 25-3-01.

Found Property

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP– Sometime between 10:00 p.m. on July 8, 2024, and 11:00 a.m. on July 9, 2024, drugs and paraphernalia were found in the area of Hogan Boulevard.

Endangering Welfare of a Child

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP– On July 8, 2024, PSP Lamar responded to Lionel Lane for a report of child endangerment to a 1-year-old child from Mill Hall. Through investigation, the incident was determined to be unfounded.

Rape/Forceable

BEECH CREEK– An incident involving the rape of a 19-year-old individual was reported to PSP Lamar. The incident reportedly took place sometime between January 1, 2022, and February 28, 2022, according to the report issued by PSP. The case remains open pending further investigation.

Firearm Sale or Transfer

LAMAR TOWNSHIP– On October 30, 2023, at 2:57 p.m., a prohibited person attempted to purchase a firearm at Miller’s Gun Shop in Mill Hall. This investigation continues.

Renovo Police Department News:

Renovo Police have charged 54-year-old Marie S. Dranchak, of Renovo, with theft of property lost, mislaid, or delivered by mistake, stemming from an incident that occurred along the 100 block of 4th Street on July 11, 2024, around 8:15 p.m. A 69-year-old victim unknowingly dropped a clip containing money and multiple cards on the ground. Within minutes, Dranchak came by and picked up the clip, took $140.00 in cash, discarded the cards and clip back on the ground, and left the area. Dranchak has been charged through District Court 25-3-03 and has been sent a summons to appear in court.

Renovo Police have arrested 21-year-old Nathaniel S. Strouse from Montandon and charged him with multiple felony and misdemeanor crimes stemming from an ongoing incident that began on June 17, 2024, and ended on July 4, 2024. On June 17, Strouse was driving at a high rate of speed up and down 5th Street in Renovo. He came within inches of intentionally striking a 25-year-old pregnant female on the street, who had to jump out of the way. Another person in the vehicle then threw a full, unopened beer bottle at this victim’s head, narrowly missing it. Between June 17 and July 4, multiple reports were received of Strouse speeding and driving recklessly around Renovo. On July 4, Strouse again was driving up and down 5th Street at a high rate of speed. Strouse intentionally accelerated and swerved at a 23-year-old male, striking him with the vehicle and causing injury, before speeding away. This incident was captured on video. Strouse also got out of his vehicle and threw a beer bottle at another 26-year-old male, causing him to lose consciousness and collapse on the ground. Both males were transported to hospitals for treatment.

Strouse has been charged with Aggravated Assault, 2 counts of Aggravated Assault by Vehicle, Accidents involving death or personal injury, 2 counts of Simple Assault, 2 counts of Recklessly Endangering Another Person, 2 counts of Reckless Driving, Careless Driving, and Duty to give information and Render Aid. Strouse was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Frank Mills on July 9, 2024, and committed to the Clinton County Correctional Facility in Lieu of $25,000.00 bail.
