Keystone 9-11’s Secure Victory Over South Williamsport

BEECH CREEK – On a warm Tuesday evening at Beech Creek Little League Field, the Keystone 9-11 team demonstrated exceptional skill and teamwork, securing an 8-3 victory against South Williamsport.

The game kicked off with Keystone making a strong statement in the first inning, scoring two runs. Keystone’s Carter Leone and Adam Meyer were pivotal in their offensive plays, each hitting crucial doubles. The top performers at the plate included Adam Meyer, who went 3-for-3 with two RBIs, and Carter Leone, who scored three runs and had two hits in the game.

Dylan McDermott played a significant role both at the bat and on the mound. He pitched an impressive 4.1 innings, allowing only four hits and no runs, while striking out nine batters. McDermott also contributed offensively with a hit and two runs.

South Williamsport put up a fight, particularly in the second inning when they scored all three of their runs. However, Keystone’s pitcher Dylan McDermott led the charge, managed to contain South Williamsport’s offense effectively. Carter Leone closed the game, pitching the final two outs without allowing any hits.

Other notable contributions came from Rylin Bathurst, who had two hits and an RBI, and Hunter Kisko, who had two hits also.

With this win, Keystone 9-11’s punched their ticket into the District 12 Championship Game on 6/29 at Volunteer Stadium against and opponent to be determined.
