Philipsburg Man Pleads Guilty To Castanea Burglary 

LOCK HAVEN – Clinton County District Attorney Dave Strouse announced that Anthony John Harkinson, 35, of Centre Street in Philipsburg, pled guilty on Tuesday morning to burglarizing a Sunoco gas station at 200 South Hanna Street in Castanea Township in July of 2023.   

Harkinson entered the guilty plea to one count of Burglary, a felony of the 2nd degree, before Clinton County President Judge Craig P. Miller. Miller scheduled sentencing for July, pending the preparation of a presentence investigation by Clinton County Adult Probation. 

Harkinson broke into the gas station on July 21, 2023, by breaking the glass entry door while the store was closed. Once inside, Harkinson took several cartons of cigarettes and two cash registers from the store. The total value of the damages and theft was reported to exceed $20,000.
