Flags of Honor Ceremony is Sunday

Everyone’s invited to the 10th annual Flags of Honor Ceremony at 12:00 p.m. Sunday in Triangle Park, Lock Haven. A Company, 337th Engineer Battalion, Pennsylvania National Guard will again participate.

LOCK HAVEN — This is the 10th annual Flags of Honor event in Triangle Park, Lock Haven, over Memorial Day weekend, and everyone’s invited to a program Sunday at 12:00 p.m. Be sure to bring a lawn chair.

Members of the Rotary Club of Downtown Lock Haven will welcome you and distribute official booklets listing the sponsors and the names of those honored with a flag.

Participants will be vocalist Kimberly Vance, A Company 337th Engineer Battalion of the Pennsylvania National Guard, Rotary District Governor Herb Smith who’s coming from West Virginia, Rotary Area Governor Diahann Claghorn, and James L. Franklin, Jr.

Flags of Honor is a project of the Rotary Club of Downtown Lock Haven, with lots of support this year from individual sponsors, three Angel Partner businesses, and 37 corporate sponsors.

Redmond’s Complete Comfort is once again the Gold Medal Sponsor for sponsoring a total of 28 flags.

Proceeds from Flags of Honor benefit scholarships and local non-profits.
