Vehicle Crash
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – A crash occurred near 860 Sugar Run Road in Bald Eagle Township on March 26, 2024. Colton Coakley, 22, Lock Haven, was traveling west when a deer entered the roadway. Coakley’s vehicle struck the deer and then continued into a ditch on the south side of the highway before it rolled and came to a final rest on its side in the middle of the highway. No injuries occurred as a result of this crash, however the vehicle was towed from the scene.
Harassment/Physical Contact
LAMAR – PSP Lamar responded to 166 Bolopue Road in Lamar on March 25, 2024, for a reported physical altercation. Both parties, a 36-year-old male and a 38-year-old female, both of Mill Hall, were cited with harassment for their involvement.
Criminal Mischief
PORTER TOWNSHIP – Sometime between March 1, 2024, and March 25, 2024, picnic tables were vandalized at the Porter Township Park located at 35 Washington Avenue. Trooper Colton E. Killion is continuing the investigation into the incident.
Hit and Run
NOYES TOWNSHIP – On March 24, 2024, Bruce Berkebile, 63, from Friedens, PA, was traveling North on SR144 (Tamarack Road) when he traveled off the shoulder and struck a utility pole. After striking the utility pole, Berkebile’s vehicle continued approximately 15 yards off the shoulder where it struck a culvert and came to a final rest. The 2008 Ford Escape Berkebile was driving sustained disabling damage to the front end as well as moderate undercarriage damage. No further information was reported by police.
Harassment/Physical Contact
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – On March 24, 2024, at 5:33 p.m., PSP responded to Hogan Boulevard for a reported incident involving harassment between a 56-year-old male of Lock Haven, a 31-year-old female of Lock Haven, and two victims; a 28-year-old female of Lock Haven and a 40-year old female of Alliance, Ohio. Two non-traffic citations for harassment have been filed through District Court 25-3-02 as a result of the incident.
PFA Violation
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – On March 24, 2024, at 5:20 p.m., PSP Lamar responded to Hogan Boulevard for a report of a PFA Violation. This investigation is ongoing.
Vehicle Crash
LAMAR – On March 23, 2024, a crash occurred when Sophie Stetts, 18, of Montoursville, was traveling in the left lane of US 220 near mile marker 107.6. Stetts lost control of the vehicle she was driving when it hydroplaned, causing it to travel across the right lane onto the west berm and collide with a guide rail. No injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
Criminal Mischief
CASTANEA TOWNSHIP – On March 23, 2024, between 11:00 p.m., and 10:30 a.m., PSP Lamar was dispatched to a residence within the 200 block of East Keller Street in Castanea for a report of a smashed driver-side window on a black 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix. Upon arrival, police canvassed the area for video surveillance but did not find any evidence. Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to contact PSP Lamar at 570-726-6000, as Trooper Fusco is still investigating.
Residential Burglary
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – On March 23, 2024, at 6:44 a.m., PSP Lamar troopers were called for a possible burglary on Bald Eagle Mountain Road. The caller alleged that an unknown person entered through the basement and then exited through the front door after being confronted. Through investigation, police determined the report to be unfounded, and no further information has been reported at this time.
Failure to Comply/Megan’s Law
MILL HALL – On March 23, 2024, at 3:00 p.m., PSP Lamar investigated a possible Megan’s Law violation that took place in Mill Hall Borough. This investigation is ongoing.
Commercial Vehicle Crash
LAMAR – A crash occurred on Interstate 80 West at mile marker 181.8 in Lamar Township on March 23, 2024. Driver Vladimir Kubasov, 45, Bonney Lane, WA, was negotiating a left bend in the roadway but traveled out of the right-hand lane and struck another vehicle that had been parked along the shoulder of the highway. Following the initial impact, the commercial truck driven by Kubasov traveled in a southern direction before overturning onto its right side and continuing along the guardrail for a distance until its trailing unit disconnected. The trailing unit then traveled north for a distance before coming to a final rest along the embankment, and the remainder of the truck came to a final rest on its passenger side along the shoulder of the right travel lane according to the police report. Kubasov was not injured in the crash.
Drug Possession
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – PSP Lamar was dispatched to 64 Keystone Central Drive on March 22, 2024, for a report of a juvenile student in possession of a marijuana vape pen. Charges were filed through Clinton County Juvenile Probation as a result of the incident.
Possible Drug Paraphernalia/Equipment
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – On March 21, 2024, at 2:22 p.m., PSP Lamar Reported to 64 Keystone Central Drive after receiving a report of a juvenile in possession of both a THC vape pen and a nicotine vape pen in the area of Keystone Central Drive. Charges have been prepared and filed with Clinton County Juvenile Court as a result of the incident.
DUI
LAMAR – PSP Lamar initiated a traffic stop on SR 220 South near Mile Marker 105 on March 21, 2024, for traffic violations. Upon investigation, it was determined that the operator, identified as a 27-year-old male from Beckley, WV, was under the influence of alcohol.
Theft from Building
MILL HALL BORO – PSP Lamar Investigated a reported theft that took place at 20 Main Street in Mill Hall on March 20, 2024, at 11:40 p.m. The items stolen included miscellaneous items, a wallet, and a Samsung S13 valued at $100 according to the police report.
Criminal Trespass
PORTER TOWNSHIP – PSP Lamar Troopers Were called in regards to a possible trespassing incident on March 18th, 2024, at 5:19 p.m. According to the police report, contact was made with all parties involved at the scene and it was determined to be a civil matter. No charges were filed.
Forgery/Counterfeiting
PORTER TOWNSHIP – On March 18, 2024, at 9:09 a.m., PSP Lamar responded to the TA Travel Center located at 5600 Nittany Valley Drive for a report of a counterfeit $20 bill. This investigation is ongoing.
Commercial Burglary
PORTER TOWNSHIP – PSP Lamar is investigating a burglary that occurred between January 17, 2024, and March 17, 2024 on Nittany Valley Drive. This investigation is ongoing, and no further information has been reported at this time.
ATV Crash
MILL HALL – On March 17, 2024, Harley Duck, 30, from South Williamsport, was traveling westbound on Church Street. She attempted to do a wheelie and lost control of the motorcycle she was driving, which caused her to cross out of the westbound lane. Duck fell backward and over-throttled the motorcycle as it carried momentum before striking a utility pole. Duck and the motorcycle came to a complete stop off the roadway, and Duck sustained suspected serious injuries as a result of the crash. Assisted on the scene was Goodwill Hose Co. Ambulance and Mill Hall Volunteer Fire Department.
Theft of Vehicle Parts
FLEMINGTON – On March 9, 2024, at approximately 9:45 a.m., PSP Lamar received a report that overnight an unknown actor(s) cut the catalytic converter off of a 53-year-old male victim’s vehicle. This investigation continues and anyone with information is asked to contact PA state police Lamar at 570-726-6000.
PINE CREEK TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPARTMENT:
CATALYTIC CONVERTER THEFT
On March 9, 2024, The Pine Creek Township Police received a report of a catalytic converter theft from the owner of a 2003 Honda Odyssey. Surveillance cameras in Avis Borough were reviewed and at approximately 5:01 a.m., a silver sedan traveling at a high rate of speed was observed traveling east on Central Avenue. The vehicle turned down a side street and a short time later was observed again on cameras around the ball field. The vehicle was last observed traveling towards East Park Street where the theft in Avis Borough occurred.
At approximately 5:20 a.m., the vehicle was observed on East Central Avenue heading out of Clinton County towards Lycoming County at a high rate of speed. Thefts were reported in Jersey Shore at approximately 5:35 a.m.
Lock Haven City had reports of thefts around 4:20 a.m., and witnesses described three individuals and a silver car.
On March 12, 2024, the owner of European Imports Car Dealership, 2232 Woodward Ave, Pine Creek Township, reported that he discovered the catalytic converters had been cut off three Volkswagen vehicles in his lot that morning, specifically a 2017 VW Jetta TDI, a 2012 VW Jetta TDI, and a 2013 VW Passat SE. Several short video clips show the suspects and the silver vehicle in the lot at 5:00 a.m.
On March 9, 2024, the sound of the exhaust from the vehicle in the videos matched the one heard during the Jersey Shore theft. The suspects are not believed to be from the local area. The vehicle they were operating appears to be a 2016-2021 Mercedes-Benz C-43, with an aftermarket exhaust, and a rare paint color called “designo-Selenite-Grey-magno”. The described vehicle and suspects have been observed in videos across the state, and police relay that they are involved in multiple thefts of catalytic converters. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the police department or submit a tip via the CRIME WATCH page. We remind residents to report any suspicious behavior or vehicles.

LOCK HAVEN CITY POLICE PRESS RELEASE MARCH 25, 2024
Incidents:
Theft – Between March 18, 2024, at 11:45 p.m., and March 19, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., an electric scooter was stolen from the front of an apartment building in the 10 block of E. Main Street in Lock Haven.
Offenses Charged:
Serenity Smith, 18, Lock Haven, was arrested for Endangering the Welfare of Children. Smith allowed her 21-month-old child to ingest methamphetamine.
On March 10, 2024, at approximately 1:00 a.m., Freedom Cloudz, 437 Bellefonte Ave, was broken into by two males. Items were taken and destroyed. Richard Colon, 20, Lock Haven, and a 14-year-old male of Lock Haven were arrested for the burglary and related crimes. Jamie Dershem, 34, Lock Haven, was arrested for Tampering with Evidence, Receiving Stolen Property, and other crimes related to the incident. The incident is still being investigated at this time.
Shannon Long, 19, Lock Haven, was cited with an ordinance violation for noise. On March 16, 2024, LHPD officers responded to a noise complaint at Long’s residence due to a party that was taking place.

RENOVO POLICE DEPARTMENT
Renovo Police have charged an 11-year-old male from Renovo, for possessing a weapon on school property, possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia with intent to deliver, and possessing tobacco on school property. This incident occurred during the morning of 03/12/24 at Bucktail Area Middle and High School, located at 1300 Bucktail Avenue in Chapman Township. Renovo Police worked with the Keystone School District Police Department during this investigation. Charges have been filed in Clinton County Juvenile Court.

MILL HALL BOROUGH POLICE DEPARTMENT
LAMAR TOWNSHIP – A 14-year-old juvenile will be summoned to appear in juvenile court on charges of Aggravated Indecent Assault and Indecent Assault after the juvenile engaged in sexual conduct with two children under five years old. The incident happened when the 14-year-old was babysitting both children. The investigation is continuing.
