Roses for Residents

Young Renovo Girls Heartwarming Gesture Brings Joy to Long-Term Care Facility

By Autumn Gavlock

SOUTH RENOVO – On Sunday March 10, young six-year-old Jazzy Jackson, of the Renovo area displayed what could only be described as a true act of kindness to the residents and staff of Bucktail Medical Center’s long-term care facility.

Jazzy is a first grader at Renovo Elementary School who is known within the community as a bright light and optimistic individual. Spreading joy and positivity is nothing new for this youngster but it was only after watching TikTok videos with her mother about spreading acts of kindness that Jazzy was inspired on a serene Sunday afternoon, to purchase 36 roses and distribute them personally to the residents of BMC.

During her visit Jazzy was able to successfully hand deliver 31 of the 36 roses to residents and staff. By delivering roses to each recipient, she deeply touched the hearts of those facing an especially challenging period, offering a ray of joy amidst the recent heartbreaking news of Bucktail Medical Center’s long-term care facility closure earlier this month.

The Record interviewed Jazzy to hear her youthful perspective on the occasion. “It was a lot of fun and I can’t wait to do it again” Jazzy stated. Jazzy is the delightful daughter of Rachel Bushor and Michael Jackson. Jazzy’s Mother, Rachel Bushor mentioned that she plans to continue to encourage Jazzy’s enthusiasm to spread kindness by continuing to help her unearth new opportunities to do so.

Jazzy’s family and community are so proud of the thoughtful young lady she is becoming and look forward to seeing how she continues to spread sunshine and kindness for all of her years to come.
