Woodward Township Police Department Press Release:

Woodward Township Police are investigating a hit-and-run incident that took place between 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2024, and 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2024. This incident occurred while the victim’s vehicle, a brown 2013 Subaru Outback, was parked at 41 Woodland Drive in Woodward Township. An unknown vehicle struck the Subaru on the passenger side door, causing substantial damage while it was parked and unoccupied. Anyone with information about this hit-and-run incident is asked to contact the Woodward Township Police Department at 570-858-5676, or the dispatch center at 570-748-2936.

Pennsylvania State Police – Lamar Press Release:

DUI

LOCK HAVEN – PSP Lamar initiated a traffic stop on Second Street in Lock Haven for a traffic violation on March 10, 2024. Upon investigation, it was determined that the driver, Felicia Fine, 53, Oakland, CA, was under the influence of alcoholic beverages. Chemical testing was refused and criminal charges were filed through District Court 25-3-01.

Harassment w/Physical Contact

AVIS – On March 9, 2024, at 2:17 a.m., PSP Lamar cited Elizabeth Stewart, 47, of Avis, for harassment after having a physical confrontation with a 25-year-old female from Jersey Shore.

Vehicle Crash

PORTER TOWNSHIP – On March 8, 2024, a crash occurred as two vehicles were traveling north on Nittany Valey Drive. While traveling on a straight section of the road, Brooke Miller, 33, of Howard, struck another vehicle driven by a 16-year-old male from Lamar. Following the initial impact, both units came to a final rest on the roadway facing north. Miller was not injured in the crash and the other driver sustained a suspected minor injury according to the police report for this incident.

Harassment

NOYES TOWNSHIP – According to a report issued by PSP Lamar, an incident involving harassment took place on March 8, 2024, at 6:31 p.m. on Hall Street. No further details are available at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

Theft

PORTER TOWNSHIP – PA State Police are investigating a theft from a motor vehicle that occurred on Nittany Valley Drive at 4:00 p.m. on March 6, 2024. A customer left her vehicle, identified as a 2012 Nissan Altima, unlocked and when she returned, she noticed that her purse was missing. Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact PSP Lamar.

Lost/Missing Firearm

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – PSP Lamar was notified of a lost 22 Caliber Pistol on March 6, 2024. Further investigation led to the firearm being located by the owner.

PFA Violation

ALLISON TOWNSHIP – On March 6, 2024, at 10:50 p.m., PSP Lamar investigated a PFA Violation at 993 Renovo Road. Upon investigation, Adam Chance Shaffer, 31, of Lock Haven, was located in the residence. A valid PFA excludes Shaffer from this residence, and as police attempted to apprehend him, he resisted arrest. Police arrested and transported Shaffer to the Clinton County Correctional Facility as a result of this incident.

Theft by Deception/Identity Theft

BEECH CREEK – On March 5, 2024, Madison Ripka, 22, from Beech Creek, contacted PSP Lamar to report that her identity was stolen. Ripka was filing her taxes when she was advised that taxes were already filed with her information by an unknown person.

DUI

WILLIAMSPORT – PSP Lamar initiated a traffic stop on Grand Street in Williamsport for a traffic violation on March 4, 2024. Upon investigation, it was determined that the driver, Rickie Dewitt, 35, Williamsport, was driving under the influence of controlled substances. Chemical testing was consented and criminal charges are pending toxicology reports.

Retail Theft/Shoplifting

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – On March 4, 2024, at 3:50 p.m., PSP Lamar was dispatched to Walmart in Mill Hall for a report of retail theft. After investigation, the accused 39-year-old female of North Bend was taken into custody for theft of miscellaneous items totaling $40.75. Charges were filed through District Court 25-3-02.

DUI

PORTER TOWNSHIP – PSP Lamar conducted a traffic stop on a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu for traffic violations that took place on the 6500 Block of Nittany Balley Drive on March 3, 2024. After investigation, the driver, identified as a 25-year-old male from Mill Hall, was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI. Charges are pending chemical testing results.

Fleeing and Eluding in Vehicle

BEECH CREEK – On February 22, 2024, PSP Lamar attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze but the vehicle fled from the scene. Police pursued the vehicle, but lost sight of it. The driver was able to be positively identified as Joshua Hanley, 39, from Orviston. Appropriate charges for fleeing and eluding were filed through District Court 25-3-02.

Harassment/Threatening Physical Contact

LOGAN TOWNSHIP – On February 3, 2024, an incident involving harassment between a male juvenile from Loganton and a male juvenile from Lock Haven was reported to PSP Lamar. Charges were filed through District Court 25-3-02 as a result of the incident.
