Wildcats Dominate Milton in Convincing 64-29 Win
MILTON– The Central Mountain boys’ basketball team showcased a dominant performance on the road against Milton Wednesday night with a solid 64-32 victory.
Taking control from the start, Central Mountain established a commanding lead with 21 points in the first quarter. The Wildcats continued their defensive prowess in the second quarter, limiting Milton to just one three-point basket. Heading into halftime, the Wildcats held a substantial 37-13 advantage.
The third quarter saw Central Mountain extending their lead, outscoring Milton 18-11. In the final quarter, the Wildcats added 9 points to secure a decisive final score of 64-32.
Several Wildcats contributed to the scoring column, with Hunter Hoy leading the charge with 13 points, followed by Jeremy Reese with 8, and Dominic Longworth and Caleb Mahoney each contributing 7. Xavier Persun added 6 points, while Max Verrelli chipped in with 5.
With this win, Central Mountain improves to a 10-5 overall record, while Milton falls to 3-10 with the loss. The Wildcats are set to face Shamokin in a rematch at home next Friday, Jan. 24.
