Lemont Man Sentenced in 2023 Multi-County Manhunt
LOCK HAVEN – Craig Hauke-Miller, 36, of Lemont, was sentenced Tuesday morning in a pair of Clinton County cases stemming from the manhunt and high-speed pursuit after he committed an Armed Robbery at a gas station in Clearfield County in February of last year. Hauke-Miller was sentenced on 2 counts of Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Law Enforcement (F3), 8 counts of Recklessly Endangering Another Person (M2) and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (M) by Clinton County Court of Common Pleas President Judge Craig P. Miller. Miller imposed a maximum sentence of 12 years in a state prison, with parole eligibility after serving a minimum of 57 months. The Clinton County Sentence was ordered to be served consecutively to Hauke-Miller’s other sentences imposed in Clearfield, Centre, and Blair Counties.
Hauke-Miller, who participated in the sentencing hearing by video conference from a state prison where he is currently serving his Clearfield County sentence, asked Judge Miller to sentence him to a concurrent sentence to his Clearfield, Centre and Blair County cases.
The Commonwealth was represented at sentencing by First Assistant District Attorney Thom Rosamilia. Rosamilia asked Judge Miller to send a clear message to Hauke-Miller: that these types of violent and dangerous crimes are not tolerated in Clinton County. Rosamilia argued that Hauke-Miller was involved in two high-speed pursuits in Clinton County in one day, endangered dozens of lives of innocent civilians on the highway, and dozens more lives of the pursuing law enforcement officers. Rosamilia implored that concurrent sentences sends the wrong message.
Judge Miller’s consecutive sentence means that Hauke-Miller will serve an aggregate total of 30 years as a maximum sentence.
