Holiday concert coming Dec. 9; ‘A Blue Christmas with Billy Price’ set as fundraiser for two nonprofits

LOCK HAVEN – Get ready for some holiday blues.

Billy Price and his Keystone Rhythm Band are coming to downtown Lock Haven, just in time for some shopping, dining and dancing on Saturday, Dec. 9, in the historic Roxy Theatre, 308 Main St.

“A Blue Christmas with Billy Price” is a fundraiser sponsored by the Clinton County Community Foundation and the Clinton County Arts Council.

Billy will take to the stage at 7 p.m. that night – a Small Business Saturday in downtown.

Tickets are $35 (zone 1) for the front section; $30 (zone 2) for the back section and balcony.

Paper tickets are available for sale at The Express, 9-11 W. Main St. downtown; at Schlesinger Communications, 21 E. Main St., and at The Station Gallery, 2 E. Bald Eagle St. by appointment (570) 748-0949).

For ease, tickets are available using the QR code displayed below.

More information is available on the social media pages of the Clinton County Arts Council, and the Roxy Theatre and www.Roxymovie.com.

What’s being billed as the first annual downtown holiday concert is a fundraiser for the Foundation’s Community Impact Fund, which annually supports well over 60 charities, nonprofits and municipal governments with projects ranging from the safety of our emergency first responders to homelessness, helping young pregnant mothers, fighting hunger, building community involvement and pride, improving recreational opportunities and a number of other projects aimed at enhancing the area’s quality of life.

The Foundation’s outreach coordinator, Bob Rolley, said the nonprofit is pleased to bring the holiday event to the community to spread the word about the Foundation’s charitable mission to address the county’s most promising opportunities and pressing needs.

The Arts Council uses proceeds to support the arts.

“One of the most important goals each year for the Clinton County Arts Council is to invest in our community through the arts. This not only improves quality of life but also builds community pride along with business opportunities,” said Steve Getz of the CACC.

‘A Blue Christmas with Billy Price’ is just another example of combining an exceptional cultural experience with a fund-raising event. Proceeds will be used by the CCAC to help fund the Jeff Gummo CCAC scholarship for the Arts, and a variety of youth camps and adult workshops in 2024.”

Also, patrons of the event can bring a toy to support the annual Mark the Shark Toy Drive to benefit children and families in the region.
