KCSD CTC partners with PMF Industries, Inc.

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP, PA – Yet another example of collaboration with the Career Technical Center at Keystone Central School District was announced on Friday: PMF Industries, Inc. is currently sending four employees to a ten-session class on CNC Lathe Programming.

Keystone Central has partnered with Commonwealth University – Lock Haven Workforce Development to offer the following courses: CNC Lathe Programming; CNC Mill Programming; MasterCam 2D Mill; and MasterCam Lathe. Each course meets one evening per week, 4-hour duration, for 10 weeks. The school district said the tie-in with CU-Lock Haven is a great option for industry partners that need very focused machining training for employees.

Another first: one of PMF’s employees, Austin Mackenzie (pictured with Shan Packer, Lathe course instructor), will be shadowing Packer to become an adjunct instructor at KCSD. Austin is a Central Mountain High School graduate who had Packer as an instructor, and now works for PMF. Austin completed PMF’s CNC Machining Apprenticeship to become a Journey Person and is now circling back to help train others. The district said this is a true example of giving back to the machining trade and sharing current industry practices.
