New Lock Haven Skatepark at Hoberman Park speeding to completion
LOCK HAVEN, PA – Completion of the first development in the multiphase renovation project at Lock Haven’s Hoberman Park is moving along as contracted outside crews continue their work along E. Park Street.
A site spokesman indicated to The Record on Thursday that progress continues prior to the announced re-opening event for the Lock Haven Skatepark at Hoberman Park on Thursday, Nov. 9 at 3 p.m.
City planner Abbey Roberts announced recently that speakers have been invited to share their comments as a large amount of Community Development Block Grant-CV funding and community support made the project possible. The Lock Haven Police Department will be conducting a free raffle for a bike, scooters, skateboards, and helmets to encourage everyone to enjoy the new skatepark safely. The ribbon cutting will officially re-open the skatepark and allow all attendees to test out the new facility.
