Pine Creek police arrest Avis man on drug delivery charges
AVIS, PA – Pine Creek Township police have arrested an Avis man on bath sale and meth-related drug sale charges. Police said Gilbert J. Stevenson of W. Martin Steet, Avis, was arraigned Friday on an arrest warrant that was obtained by their department following an ongoing drug delivery investigation.
Stevenson was charged with two felony counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, two felony counts of delivery of a controlled substance, two felony counts of criminal use of a communication facility and two misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance.
Stevenson is accused of selling 5.2 grams of bath salts to an informant on April 4 for $270 and on April 28 Stevenson is accused of selling 30 grams of methamphetamine to an informat for $500 at his Avis residence.
Stevenson was arraigned by District Judge Keith Kibler. Bail was set at $50,000 and a preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Monday.
Stevenson remains committed at the Clinton County Correctional Facility on similar charges from another incident where Stevenson is accused of selling controlled substances.
