Paul Mack Boulevard lighting project delayed
LOCK HAVEN, PA – The highway lighting improvement project along Paul Mack Boulevard remains on an extended delay. Lock Haven officials have been told in July the new lights should be installed and working by the original completion date of October for work that began in February of this year.
However, PennDOT confirmed Friday that the project contractor continues to wait for the arrival of the new lights. A spokesman told therecord-online the poles and lights should be on onsite by the beginning of December and installed and activated by Christmas.
Overall work on the project includes upgrading lighting and traffic signal poles, signal heads, and traffic signal controllers to include radar detection units. It also includes installing closed-circuit television, pavement marking and miscellaneous construction. Bruce & Merrilees Electric Company of New Castle is the contractor on the $2 million project.
