CM Indoor Majorettes and Matriarch twirlers take Sunday baton title

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP, PA – From an in-the-rain halftime performance at this past weekend’s Heritage Homecoming football game to a competition on Sunday, the Central Mountain Indoor Majorettes along with the Matriarch alumni performed their routine “I Want Candy” on Sunday at the Twirling Unlimited baton twirling competition held in the Central Mountain gym.

The group placed first in the Beginner Large Senior Dance Twirl category. Batons were definitely not as slippery in the gym as they were on Friday night at Malinak Stadium. Twirling together, current and alumni members provided inspiration to young twirlers participating in the sport that it doesn’t matter your age when you love a sport!

This event was held as a fundraiser for the eleven CM majorettes traveling to Tampa, FL to perform at the ReliaQuest Bowl Game on January 1st. Sunday’s event organizers said many thanks to the Keystone Central School District administration and supporters of this team, making this event and many more happen.
