Lock Haven Man Charged with Assaulting Two State Troopers

LOCK HAVEN – A Lock Haven man is in the Clinton County Correctional Facility in default of $150,000 bail after allegedly assaulting two state troopers seeking to serve a warrant.
State police identified the arrestee as Justin Rishel, 34, and said the incident occurred Friday, Aug. 14 at Rishel’s residence on E. Bald Eagle Street in Lock Haven.
Their report said two troopers were attempting to take Rishel into custody last Friday morning. He allegedly locked himself in his bedroom and, once the police gained entry, attempted to escape out a window. Police allege Rishel then squared up with the officers and a struggle ensued; they said he kicked the officers and took a swing at them as they applied handcuffs.
Rishel is charged with aggravated assault and related offenses.
