Two Reported Dead in Plane Crash near Jersey Shore Airport

NIPPENOSE TOWNSHIP – Authorities are investigating a Sunday afternoon airplane crash near Jersey Shore in Lycoming County. The initial report from multiple media sources said two people were killed.

The crash was reported just before 5 p.m. Sunday, about half a mile from the Jersey Shore Airport. Emergency Management officials have reported two people were killed in the crash, but additional information was not immediately available. The Lycoming County Coroner was reported called to the scene and Tiadaghton Valley Regional Police are involved in the initial investigation.
