BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP, PA – Kiahna Jones, a 4-year starter for the Central Mountain girls’ basketball team, on Wednesday signed the paperwork to continue her education and play basketball at Lock Haven.
With her family looking on, Jones formally committed to the Bald Eagle basketball program. She said, “I’m excited to commit to LHU for the next chapter in my academic and athletic career. I have been fortunate to play high school basketball with awesome teammates and coaches this year. I am looking forward to playing this season with my team and graduating high school in June. I want to thank my parents, my brother, my family and friends for their support through the years to make the dream a reality.”
She has earned Heartland Conference all-star recognition the last two years and currently leads state girls in blocked shots per game, averaging 4.8 per game. Her scoring average is 12.3 and she pulls down 7.8 rebounds per game.
Jones is the daughter of Leigh and Albert Jones. Her older brother Collin is a standout basketball player at Lebanon Valley after starring at Central Mountain. The younger Jones plans to major in early childhood education at Lock Haven.
