Sanders Presented Cornerstone Award

LOCK HAVEN – More than 110 people were on hand Thursday night as Downtown Lock Haven, Inc. and the Fairfield Inn & Suites hosted a Clinton County Economic Partnership “Time Out” networking event to ring in the new year. The evening was highlighted by the presentation of the annual Downtown Appreciation Awards, which recognize businesses and individuals for their efforts to enhance Lock Haven’s downtown. Pictured center is Art Sanders of Sanders Window Fashions, the longest-running businesses on Main Street, who received the Cornerstone Award. Sanders and his daughter Fabre have also more recently opened a specialty gift shop called It Is What it Is, next door to the window fashions shop. Also receiving recognition were, from left, DeAnna Heggenstaller and Steve Brion of Addie’s Awards & Custom Printing, who received the Community Partnership award; Rachel Harkey of the Fairfield Inn and Amanda Oechler of ARO & Company, who jointly received the Volunteer of the Year Award; Craig Willits of Willits Copiers, who received the Community Service Award; Sanders; Downtown Lock Haven, Inc. president Bob Rolley and Downtown Manager Kasey Campbell, who presented the awards; Mark Schlesinger of Schlesinger Communications, recipient of the Promotions Award; and Jon Conklin of Woodlands Bank, recipient of the Economic Restructuring Award.

The Partnership’s February “Time Out” will be hosted by Chapman Township on February 21 to kick off the Township’s 200th anniversary celebration. The event will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Chapman Township Municipal Building, 196 Main Street, in North Bend.
