Wildcats Romp over Bellefonte 63-34











BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – Central Mountain hosted former Mountain League foe, Bellefonte Monday night and proved to be ungracious hosts nearly doubling up on the Red Raiders, 63-34.
The game started out more evenly, at leas for a few minutes, however, by the end of the first period, the Wildcats had a 14-6 lead and just kept rolling until the final buzzer.
Bellefonte did pick up the pace in the second quarter but the deficit was still growing as they trailed the Wildcats 30-18 at the break.
Central Mountain kept up the pressure in the third quarter dominating the Red Raiders 15-6 to hold a 45-24 lead heading into the final period.
In the fourth period, the Wildcat bench had a chance to roar when given the opportunity and sparked Cm to outpace Bellefonte 18-10 in the quarter to finish out the 63-34 effort.
Three Wildcats broke double-digits offensively with Alex Garbrick, 16; Wyatt Bumbarger, 13; and Brody Baker, 12; leading the way.
Landon Brean and Kyle Everhart each scored 5 points while Justin Neff and Cordell Muthler both netted 4 points. Nick Carpenetti and Cole Reeder both had 2 points to round out the scoring.
Central Mountain will host Milton, Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016 for a 7:30 p.m. contest.
