CM Volleyball Ousted by State College

cm-volleyballSTATE COLLEGE – It is a bittersweet situation qualifying as the No. 4 seed for District 6 volleyball playoffs. On the positive side, it is gratifying you had a successful season that earned you a shot to enter the post season. The bad news is you have to get past No. 1 seed State College to advance further in the bracket.

The Little Lady Lions have a very talented, skilled and disciplined squad. They serve, strike and dig the ball well. They place their shots with precision with just the right spin and speed to make defending those shots even more difficult. As an extra bonus for State College, they also don’t create or commit many unforced errors.

With that situation at hand, The Lady Wildcats were eliminated from the District 6 playoffs in straight games, 25-13, 25-8 and 25-8.

Central Mountain played well but just couldn’t find an answer to the precise execution of play State College put into action. The closest CM came to making the situation interesting was in the first game when they seemed to be holding their own. Then in what seemed like seconds, State was closing out the game, doubling up on the Lady Wildcats.
