pdot2LAMAR TOWNSHIP – Phase Two of PennDOT’s Route 220/Auction Road project in Lamar Township gets underway this week. Starting Wednesday, Oct. 22, crews will be installing erosion and sedimentation controls. When work on Phase Two is complete, area drivers will enjoy smoother, more efficient travel through this area and have increased sight distance at the intersection.

Phase Two will feature the construction of the bridge and ramps on the western side of Route 220, adjacent to the Clinton County Fairgrounds. Overall work includes excavation, concrete piping, paving, sign structures, inlets, light poles, guide rail, and miscellaneous items.

Construction of Phase One completed earlier this year. That work included the building of the ramps on the eastern side of Route 220, adjacent to the Auto Auction.

The contractor for the $12.4 million Phase Two project is HRI, Inc. of State College today. All work is weather and schedule dependent.
