Sugar Valley Rural Charter Provides School Opening Update

LOGANTON – Sugar Valley Rural Charter School on Monday announced that students for the upcoming school year will have both an in-school and online learning option. School CEO Tracie Kennedy, in an online message to parents and guardians, said the school continues to work on its Health and Safety plan.

Further details are to be forthcoming.

The message to parents and guardians:

July 13, 2020

Dear Parents/Guardians I know this is a difficult time for school families. I understand that you are nervous, concerned and confused on how to approach learning for your children. I want to reassure you that SVRCS is working on a plan to offer you an educational choice. You may choose to send your children to school or you may choose our online learning that will be an extension of our onsite classrooms. Online students will receive the same instruction as our onsite students do. They will be able to interact with the teachers and students on a daily basis. Our live instruction for online students will give them access to instant feedback to help answer questions they may have or encounter. Most of these sessions will be recorded for later viewing to meet the needs of your personal work schedules.

We are still working on the final details of our Health and Safety plan which will provide the students and staff with a healthy and safe environment as we return to classes this fall. We will share the details of that plan when it is completed. If you have any questions or suggestions, please contact us at the school.  (570) 725-7822

Thank you,

Tracie Kennedy
