Angela Harding Announces Candidacy for Clinton County Commissioner

Angela Harding Monday announced her candidacy for Clinton County Commissioner. Her announcement:

“‘I am excited to announce my candidacy for Clinton County Commissioner’” she said in her statement.

“Harding will be seeking the Democratic nomination for the 2019 election.

“Following her education at Lock Haven University, Harding worked at 92.1 The Mountain and The Record Newspaper for 8 years. In 2011, Harding was named the Executive Director of the Clinton County United Way. While in that position, she and the United Way Board raised nearly a million dollars for local non-profits and families in need in Clinton County. In 2015, Harding accepted a newly created Public Relations position at Keystone Central School District, a position she currently holds.

“‘I love my job and I’m really looking forward to working with our new Superintendent, Ms. Jacquelyn Martin’” said Harding. “’But running for commissioner has always been a professional goal of mine and the timing feels right this election. Ms. Martin is one of the first individuals that I talked with about my aspirations and she was supportive of me working to achieve that goal. With that being said, I have every intention of continuing to help make education a priority in our community in my current role.’”

“Since moving to Clinton County at 19 years old, Harding has been heavily involved in the Clinton County community. Angela is a 2002 graduate of Leadership Clinton County, an alumni member, and alumni past president. She is also past president and current board member of the Lock Haven Kiwanis. She has been a member of the Kiwanis club for 17 years. She is a board member of the Clinton County United Way and serves on the Piper Aviation Museum board. She is a member of the Croda/Avery Community Advisory Board and has been a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for 6 years. Past community involvement includes, Downtown Lock Haven, Lock Haven University Community Advisory Committee, and various booster clubs and community groups. Harding’s list of volunteerism and community engagement is lengthy and spans multiple organizations and community efforts.

“‘My commitment and dedication to Clinton County is evident. My careers have afforded me the opportunity to work with local businesses, community members of all ages, local government, organizations, and in education. I feel all of those experiences make me a viable candidate to work for all corners of Clinton County and for all of the residents in it.’”

“Harding of Mill Hall has one son, Von Walker who currently lives in Hoboken, New Jersey.”
