LOCK HAVEN – Central Mountain High School freshman Logan Myers on Wednesday joined the Lock Haven University men’s soccer team through Team IMPACT.

Myers was diagnosed with a lymphatic cancer in the fall of 2017; however, he is pleased to say that the cancer is now in remission.

LHU head coach Patrick Long and the Bald Eagles said they are excited and honored to have Myers join the program. Earlier this week, he joined the team for a practice and he’ll be on the sidelines with the Bald Eagles when they host Gannon on Saturday at Stern Athletic Complex.

“The men’s soccer program is excited to welcome its newest member to the team,” said Long. “Logan is a local youth soccer player and we are thrilled to integrate him into our practices, games and team functions. He’s already an important part of our men’s soccer family at The Haven.”

The LHU Department of Athletics and the LHU men’s soccer team held a signing-day ceremony Wednesday afternoon. Joining the LHU men’s soccer team were members of the LHU marching band and Talon, the Bald Eagles’ official mascot.
